HeartRateGraph is an app for monitoring heart rate during exercise. This policy explains what data the app uses and how it is handled.

Data the app uses

HeartRateGraph processes the following data:

• Heart rate (BPM): received in real time from a Bluetooth heart rate sensor/strap compatible with the Bluetooth Heart Rate Service standard.
• Bluetooth device identifier: the address of the paired sensor, used only to automatically reconnect to your favorite sensor.
• Age and resting heart rate: values you enter manually to calculate your training zones.
• Session chart snapshots: if you choose to save them, they are stored as images in your local gallery/storage.

How this data is stored

All the data described above is processed and stored exclusively on your device. HeartRateGraph has no servers of its own, does not send any data over the internet, does not use analytics or remote crash-reporting services, and does not share information with third parties.

Data is stored locally through the app’s preferences (SharedPreferences) and, for chart snapshots, through your Android device’s standard image storage.

Permissions requested by the app

• Bluetooth (scanning and connection): required to find and connect to your heart rate strap.
• Location (only on older Android versions, 11 or below): Android requires this permission as a technical requirement to scan for Bluetooth devices on those system versions. HeartRateGraph does not use your geographic location in any way, nor does it store or transmit it.

Health data

The heart rate data shown by the app is an approximation based on standard training-zone formulas (Tanaka, Karvonen) and the information from your Bluetooth sensor. This app is not a medical device, does not diagnose or treat any medical condition, and should not be used as a substitute for advice from a healthcare professional.

Children

HeartRateGraph is not specifically directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if the app adds new features. Any change will be reflected on this same page, updating the date shown above.
